It’s Time To Get Your Social Media Act Together
-
Social media is big right now. It’s the biggest thing on the net. People used to talk about Web 2.0, now they talk about Social Media and for good reason. It levels the playing field and puts the power back into the hands of the people.
I love it, because you can’t put out crap any more. People will talk about it, and wipe you off the charts. It brings ineractivity to the game. Marketing is no longer one-sided.
Get the picture? Ok, good. Here are the tips to get you started:
- Get a twitter account – http://www.twitter.com/
- Get a Facebook account – http://www.facebook.com/
Start there. Believe me, you’ll be busy enough with those two before you branch out even further.
A few more things about the above:
- Put your facebook url in your twitter bio (for now… in the near future you’ll put your blog url)
- Start following people in twitter
- Look for people you know and add as a friend in facebook
- Add the twitter application to facebook for your updates (so you are only updating one location)
- Update with helpful information (no promoting! – we’ll do that later when the time is right)
Get busy! If you need video training to walk you through step by step, you may want to check out – http://www.theGTreport.com

Thanks Joey for some great tips and it seems we all can get fairly turned around rather quickly when it comes to social media strategies. It takes a while to develop the habits and use your time most efficiently. You give some great time saving advise!
